Wet Cupping / Hijama
A traditional Hijama practice using controlled suction and small superficial incisions, performed with care, hygiene and consultation-led preparation.
Wet cupping, also known as Hijama, is a traditional practice involving controlled suction followed by small superficial incisions. It is carried out with careful hygiene, appropriate preparation and consultation-led suitability checks.
People often choose Hijama as part of a general wellbeing routine, for relaxation, to support healthy circulation, and to help relieve areas of muscular tension. In the Islamic tradition, Hijama also holds a recognised place as a Sunnah practice.
In the Sunnah, Hijama is mentioned as a beneficial form of treatment. The Prophet ﷺ said:
إِنَّ أَمْثَلَ مَا تَدَاوَيْتُمْ بِهِ الْحِجَامَةُ
"Indeed, the best of what you use as treatment is cupping."
